am native New Orleanian. I was born in the 9th ward and raised in no particular ward, my mother and I were a floaters. My mother was a single mother, but I always had a male figure that took on some of the responsibility of daddy, so I didn’t miss much. My mother was a teacher in the public school system for many years. I have three biological children of my own and a lot of children who I claim as my own now that I have taught them.
I attended various public schools and I graduated from John McDonogh Senior HS. I attended Southern University at New Orleans, where I received a Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems. After hurricane Katrina, I remained in Houston, Texas. I began teaching while I was there. While teaching there I received a Master of Computer Science. I returned to New Orleans to give back to the community in a way that would move New Orleans forward. I have been teaching back in New Orleans for six years. I have a vision to empower students to become the best they can become. I look forward to working with you and your scholars.
